TOOL CRIB ATTENDANT

Monday – Friday, 5:00 PM – 4:00 AM

From the wheels of NASA’s Curiosity Mars Rover to mission critical components for nuclear submarines, to large hydraulic cylinders for the largest mining trucks on the planet, Scot Forge creates the precision forged metal parts used in demanding applications all over the world.

This position is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing tools, machine tool fixtures, measuring devices, support equipment, materials, and supplies. He / She will be able to learn and follow established processes, procedures, and requirements, must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain professional and courteous customer relationships with client, vendor, and internal team.

  • Working knowledge of ERP/CMMS systems.

  • Calibrate and certify measuring equipment, update certifications, calibration due dates and availability in the CMMS.

  • Package and coordinate shipping/receiving of warranty and repair parts to and from vendors or suppliers.

  • Receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming supplies, tools, and equipment.

  • Visually inspect and identify tool crib items and equipment for defects and wear.

  • Issues supplies, tools and equipment to employees and maintains records of parts and

  • equipment issued and returned utilizing ERP/CMMS software.

  • Performs cycle counts and updates in the ERP/CMMS system to ensure inventory accuracy.

  • Must be able to read/understand work order parts list and bill of material as required from work orders generated from our ERP/CMMS system.

  • Ensures spare parts inventory is received, maintained, and distributed according to specified procedures.

  • Audit, identify, consolidate, and review slow moving parts utilizing ERP/CMMS software.

  • Maintains logging records of items issued and returned in computer utilizing ERP/CMMS.

  • Prepare and assist with quarterly inventory audits.

  • Operate material handling equipment.

  • Ability to train for other skills to participate in the flex labor pool.

    Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and experience in a tool crib, inventory control, maintenance, or manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Organized and detailed oriented

  • Basic knowledge of mechanical tools and manufacturing equipment

  • Ability to read and work from engineering prints.

  • Good communication skills (verbal & written).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel & Outlook).

  • Ability to lift-up to 65 pounds periodically, sit, kneel, squat, or bend for long lengths of time and possess the ability to work standing up for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to problem solve and make decisions on the fly.

  • Valid driver's license required.
