SCOT FORGE COMPANY CNC Operator in CLINTON, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Responsibilities include the set up and operation of CNC and manual machine tools. You will perform progressive machining operations while working under minimal direction with a heavy emphasis on machine set up. Plan or verify operation to be performed and material to be used. Set up all tooling with appropriate stops, clamps, and fixtures. Set up and operate CNC, lathe &/or vertical machine tools to make parts per engineering specifications. Load material into machine utilizing overhead crane and secure to ensure safe machining on forgings that can exceed 100,000lbs using various lifting apparatus. Calculate chain and strap adjustments to ensure the safe lifting and transporting of parts. Monitor run to ensure parts are being produced to specification. Use measuring devices and blueprints/engineering drawings to inspect parts for tolerance. Visually inspect surface for appearance and non-conformities which may require repair. Complete the required documentation and reports at the completion of the job. Critically evaluate and contribute to improving the manufacturing process. Maintain proper coolant ratios and levels and perform routine maintenance Deburr parts when necessary Ability to run more than one machine maintaining run times as required Provide guidance or training for less skilled machinists. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will have an impressive attendance record and ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
