Overview

Responsibilities include Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Electron Beam Welding (EBW), Resistance Spot Welding (RSW), brazing (torch, induction and furnace) and furnace heat treating for product applications from automotive to aerospace. Welders are required to meet certification to AWS D17.1 for Aerospace Welding for compliance to NADCAP (National Aerospace Defense Contractors Accreditation Program).

Responsibilities

  • Ability to read engineering drawings and apply to job duties.

  • Organize and perform the welding or heat treating requirement independently and complete all necessary documents.

  • Perform mechanical sections for determining weld quality.

  • Perform hardness tests on heat treated or annealed materials

  • Comply with the safety requirements of the department and company.

  • Perform weld qualification to AWS D17.1

  • Perform welding and heat treating to Engineering Process Specifications (EPS). AMS2759

  • Perform press machine operations of parts and operate a pressure test stand.

Qualifications

AWS D17.1 Fusion Welding for Aerospace Applications

High School Diploma or GED

1 – 3 years welding or manufacturing experience preferred but not necessary.

Compensation: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour based on experience
