Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking an energetic supply chain professional who will be a key member of the EW Subcontracts organization. This candidate would lead a team of subcontract managers to ensure successful implementation and sustainment of L3Harris’ subcontracts functional strategic and tactical initiatives in support of the various production and development programs within the Electronic Warfare Sector. This individual will report to the department Senior Manager. This position will require effective cross-functional collaboration with peers including but not limited to: Program Management, Operations, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, and Finance teams.

Essential Functions:

  • Attract, hire, develop, and lead a high performing team of Supply Chain professionals that are responsible for ownership of supplier selection, development, negotiations, and supplier relationship management.

  • Assess supplier and platform-specific risks and develop the appropriate contingency plans.

  • Actively support initiatives to bring risk insights into the overall decision-making process.

  • Ensures sourcing efforts meet business goals and objectives.

  • Create and support individual employee development plans.

  • Track financial commitments to ensure we are hitting savings and sales goals monthly.

  • Support the development, implementation and sustainment of metrics.

  • Support succession planning and talent development.

  • Ensures files are properly developed and maintained n accordance with company FAR, DFAR, internal policies and procedures o maintain system approvals.

  • Build effective relationships with key suppliers.

  • Engage in operating income initiatives, reducing operations costs, and increasing efficiency.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior related experience or a Graduate degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.

  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior Subcontracts experience.

  • Secret Clearance Required.

  • Experience managing major subcontracted efforts in support of government and non-government program(s).

  • Track supplier deliveries and assure alignment with program needs.

  • Prior experience in leading cross-functional teams.

  • Prior experience in negotiation.

  • Experience presenting to executive leadership.

  • Self starter; ability to work in ambiguous conditions.

  • Prior contracting knowledge and experience.

  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARs.

  • Prior experience in Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with multiple subcontract types such as FFP, Cost-Plus type contracts, T&M, etc.

  • Ability to travel (10-25% of the time anticipated).

  • 7+ years of supplier management experience in an aerospace & defense industry.

    Preferred Additional Skills:.

  • Experience with various program lifecycles (development, production, post-production)

  • Experience with L3Harris Systems, Policies & Procedures.

  • PeopleSoft, Control (Cincom) experience.

  • PMP Certified.

  • Cost Account Management (CAM) certified with practical experience.

  • Experience procuring microelectronics and/or RF assemblies.

  • Experience in Proposal and Capture activities.

  • Experience successfully managing a geographically diversified team.

  • Serve as a rol model for integrity, inclustion, and diversity.

  • Ability to lead through change and adversity and deliver results in challenging environments.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.
