HIRING A BMS CONTROLS ENGINEER / SYSTEMS SPECIALIST!!!

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Specialist with experience in building automation controls to join our team. As a Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for the startup, commissioning, and re-commissioning of customer systems that utilize DDC technology. You will work on mid-level systems problems, providing solutions and assisting others in resolving issues. You will also be responsible for providing turnkey project delivery on small projects and ensuring the proper operation of unitary systems, AHUs, and other equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Start up, commission, and re-commission customer systems that utilize DDC technology

  • Troubleshoot and resolve mid-level systems problems

  • Assist in the installation and testing of new systems

  • Provide turnkey project delivery on small projects (80 or less budgeted hours)

  • Work with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation of systems

  • Complete all required commissioning documentation and maintain accurate As-Built drawing packages

  • Provide on-site training for owner/operators on system operation and maintenance

  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of control systems

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with system software and hardware

  • Collaborate with customer IT personnel to resolve issues related to system integration

  • Maintain accurate records of job progress and communicate with project management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Building HVAC or related engineering field with a focus on building automation controls (3- or 4-year program)

  • Strong understanding of building automation controls and mechanical equipment operation and control sequences

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with unitary systems (VAV/FPB/FCU), AHUs, Basic CW/HW System, Front End

  • Familiarity with electrical and mechanical installation practices

  • Knowledge of safety standards and protocols
