Job Title: Document Control Specialist

Opportunity to work in an industry leader in the nutraceuticals space!

Job Description

As a Document Control Specialist, you will perform day-to-day document requests and assist the QA Document Control Specialist and other individuals within the Quality Department with projects requiring large document lists.

Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day document requests.

  • Assist QA Document Control Specialist and Quality Department with large document projects.

  • Manage supplier audit questionnaires for new and continuing customers.

  • Process document requests for Sales and Customer Service representatives.

  • Prepare Certificate of Free Sale and Health Certificate applications.

  • Create, develop, and manage Certificates of Analysis (C of A's).

  • Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Assist QA Director with all audits.

  • Maintain consistent communications with Sales and Customer Service teams.

  • Work with the QA Document Control Specialist to maintain the document library.

  • Update Quality employees on requested and made document changes.

  • Create and maintain templates for statements and letters.

  • Maintain records of employee training.

  • Log updates made to standard operating procedures.

  • Be aware of record retention timelines and uphold them, alerting superiors of upcoming document cleanups.

  • Maintain supplier contact lists for reference when requesting product information.

  • Contact suppliers for product information not in possession.

  • Follow GMP guidelines.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in the Nutraceutical Industry.

  • Proficiency with GMP Guidelines and Documentation.

  • Skilled in Certificates of Analysis (C of A's) and creating SOPs.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications and Google Drive.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Direct experience with Fish Oils is a plus.

  • Experience with ICS.

Work Environment

  • You will work onsite in Clifton, NJ - Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility to end at 5:00 PM.

  • The Quality Department consists of around 20 individuals, and you will report to the QA Manager while collaborating with multiple other departments including Sales and Customer Service.
