Responsibilities

  • Must have knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform all preventative maintenance in a manufacturing setting

  • Plan, fabricate, and install non-mechanical equipment (such as stands, tables, etc.)

  • Keep detailed records on work orders, downtime, maintenance projects, and materials purchased

  • Perform work on 600-volt electrical systems

  • Weld with good precision utilizing a heli-arc, tig welder, and plasma cutter

  • Operate both stand-up and sit-down forklift

  • Comply/enforce established standards, procedures, and expectations for quality, safety, and sanitation

  • Maintains labor cost control by completing tasks on straight time, ensuring proper manning, and managing projects to ensure efficiency in the department

  • Establish familiarity with all company policies and procedures and the local practices of such; uphold/enforce them in order to maintain fairness and consistency of treatment

  • Supports employee development and performance by reviewing appraisals, providing constructive feedback, and offering guidance, direction, and motivation to help employees resolve work-related issues and enhance their professional growth within the organization

  • Perform other duties or special projects as needed

The essential functions of this role include:

  • wearing steel toe shoes

  • working in a non-temperature controlled environment

  • manual lifting up to 70lbs

  • standing for 12 hours at one time

  • working up to 12 hrs of overtime per week

  • Allen Bradley (3 years of experience is preferred)
