Reimagine What's Possible We are seeking a Strategic Account Manager within our IG Sales team. This is a residence based position within the US Northeastern/Midwestern Region. This position requires 50% domestic travel. This Strategic Account Manager (SAM) position, which requires frequent travel, is responsible for business development of a portfolio of high value customers across industries such as Electronics, Metals, Medical, Biotech. This SAM position will be focused on the Distributor segment and is tasked with the goal of growing wallet share, revenues, and profits while advancing customer relationships. The position will require strong sales and account management abilities to include: the development of senior level account relationships (both at Corporate and local site levels), strong analytical/critical thinking, financial and customer assessment abilities, field account management leadership as well as collaborative skills. Strong emphasis will be placed on wallet share growth from within existing accounts and the nurturing of targeted prospects leading to new business growth. The individual will work closely with Field Account Managers, Product Management, Area Managers, Marketing, and sub region leadership in developing and driving account base strategy. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Grow portfolio wallet share. Develop and implement specific account strategies in conjunction with Segment and Product Management, documented via account plans. Manage price and profit targets. Identify and lead customer value creation strategies. Penetrate accounts to senior level and cross functional relationships. Lead Field and CS team with implementation of site-specific strategies. Be visible and exemplify integrity and dedication before the broader Commercial Organization. Act as a force multiplier within the Commercial Organization. Develop and lead ongoing customer business reviews. Lead contract negotiations pertaining to new and renewal business opportunities. Good problem-solving skills; ability to handle and provide solutions to complex problems. QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree is required (Marketing, Business Management, Finance, Engineering). The successful candidate should have a strong field sales background (minimum of 5 years of sales experience), with knowledge and experience across the various key product applications. This is the range we reasonably expect to pay for this position as individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
