As a Staff Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting Applied's monthly consolidation process and ensuring timely and accurate reporting. You will have the opportunity to have a positive impact by providing assistance with the month-end, quarter-end & year-end closes, maintaining financial records and assisting in financial analysis on a monthly basis. Your Day-To-Day Responsibilities Prepare adjusting and month-end journal entries. Prepare G/L and bank account reconciliations and resolve variances. Communicate with other departments and locations on account reconciliation details. Perform variance analysis as part of the monthly close process. Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data. Maintain procedures to ensure that transactions are executed in accordance with general or specific authorization. Maintain accurate, complete, and timely records of business transactions. Support internal and external audits. Ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and projects. Staff Accountant Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 2 to 4 years of experience preferred but not required Internship in accounting and/or finance is preferred Strong analytical skillset Ability to work independently and be able to prioritize workload High degree of attention to details Ability to multitask (especially during the three-day month end close) Good time management and organizational skills Ownership and pride in your work Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel & Word) SAP & BPC experience is a plus but not required.
