Senior Manager, Payroll and Payroll Accounting

Manage and direct the preparation and processing of all USA compensation programs, payment of taxes, garnishments and deductions, preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports and preparation of tax reports. Responsible for accounting and control of compensation processing programs and related employee benefits entries. Responsible for payroll Escheatment compliance. Responsible for definition and installation of leading practices and continuous improvement initiatives for the Team Member Compensation processing function.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all USA compensation processing

  • Manage acquisition integration for all team member compensation processing

  • Manage imputed income and year-end tax forms

  • Analyze, record and oversee both accounting entries and account reconciliations related to employee compensation benefits

  • Responsible for accurate processing of equity and executive compensation programs

  • Ensure proper tax equalization and hypothetical tax for expatriates with 3rd party tax provider partnership

  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and company deductions via the 3rd party payroll provider

  • Ensure proper governmental reporting and compliance for payroll tax reporting with coordination with the 3rd party payroll provider

  • Coordinate with Total Rewards and Human Resources teams on implementation of new programs

  • Coordinate with IT to implement new system requirements and continuous improvement

  • Manage payroll tax payments and filing of returns.

  • Manage 3rd party unemployment provider relationship

  • Manage payroll Escheatment process

  • Maintain compliance related to Audit, Sarbanes, and Tax requirements

  • Develop and establish metrics for continuous improvement

  • Develop team to provide customer support and knowledge to locations regarding team member issues

  • Manage, motivate and develop staff

  • Design and maintain an organizational structure appropriate for supporting current and future business needs

  • Oversee Team Member Compensation processing software

  • Develop and maintain relationship with internal customers and key stakeholder

  • Maintain confidential information by adhering to legal and ethical standards

Qualifications:

  • College Degree (Business or Accounting) or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, preferred 10+ years of experience.

  • Minimum of five years, preferred 10+ years of experience of payroll software system implementation experience.

  • Leader, self-motivated and change agent.

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication for effective interface with both internal and external contacts.

  • Strong management and leadership skills together with the technical requirements for the position.
