The Sherwin-Williams Company Sr. Financial Analyst- Global Cost Accounting in Cleveland, Ohio

The Senior Financial Analyst position is a key member of the Enterprise Finance Global Cost Accounting Team. This position is responsible for variance allocation of North America manufacturing sites and any related month-end close processes. This position is also responsible for our raw material Vendor Rebate program. Because this role involves access to confidential financial information, the Company has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and to provide similar protections for its clients and potential investments. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Monthly calculation and various month end close entries to allocate manufacturing variances to business units utilizing a variety of concepts. Review and allocate outside buy PPV and complete various monthly reporting. Manage raw material vendor rebate program including monthly accrual, review vendor payment processing and reconciliation, and quarterly meetings with Global Procurement. Assist in review and development of annual raw material standard costs, vendor credit, toller overbill, usage, and polymer tech rates. Complete monthly reporting for management. Balance sheet reconciliations. Assist in identifying and enacting enhancements which can drive standardization and efficiency. FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor's Degree with a major in Accounting, Finance, or a similar Business degree. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: 3-4 years of accounting experience. Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills. Preferred: Experience with Standard Cost development. TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Required: Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Access Database. Preferred: Experience with OneStream. Experience with monthly variance accounting. Experience with QAD and Oracle Cloud ERP systems. Experience with Oracle (R12 or 11i), QAD, AOM, Monarch, Business Objects. Standard Cost methodology.
