The Sherwin-Williams Company Sr. Financial Analyst- Cost Accounting in Cleveland, Ohio

As a key member of the Enterprise Reporting & Controls Global Cost Accounting team, this position is a highly engaging and collaborative role supporting Cost Accounting functions for Domestic Operations currently on the 'Best-of-Breed' suite of systems. This role will interact daily with members across the GSC and Commercial Organization as it pertains to developing and supporting cost-related functions. More specifically, this role is primarily focused on supporting the PCG Industrial (Liquid + Powder) segment and will also be responsible for various ad-hoc strategic projects and standardization efforts relevant to the domestic cost team. Highlights of this position include, but are not limited to: Core Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Lead team of 2 analysts and 2 interns. Daily/Weekly involvement in new product adds/quotes to support commercial groups to drive new business opportunities and profitability. Monthly close tasks, journal entries, review, and analysis of all cost-concepts such as Absorption, PTD, Usage Variances, and REVAL. Apply costing models to develop annual standard costs for the Industrial Segment. Maintain additional aspects of annual standards process such as development of the annual production forecast (ACCTX), development of Shrink rates, etc. Establish and maintain transfer costs between GSC and Commercial Groups. Provide routine assistance to Inventory Team and Selling Divisions on all cost-related inquiries. Ad hoc requests may include the development of SOPs, identification and implementation of CI projects, cost-automation projects, Cloud implementation efforts, and system conversion projects as identified by management. In addition to the above-mentioned responsibilities, this role must have strong general knowledge of the QAD system, a strong understanding of various PSG/CBG/PCG costing methodologies and understanding of the interrelation of this costing group to other groups to drive value in strategic initiatives like those mentioned above. FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: Bachelors - In Accounting, Finance, or a similar B.S. degree KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: 3+ years of accounting experience. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills. Experience with B.o.B. systems and reporting tools. Experience with Standard cost development.
