Job Description:
Title:Senior Plaform Engineer Location:Remote- Cleveland Ohio Direct Hire Apex Systems is supporting a fortune 200 company out of Cleveland Ohio with a Senior Platform Manager opening.The Senior Platform Engineer role is responsible for designing, building, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and maintaining platforms within the current technology environment. The role involves analyzing complex technical problems, developing appropriate solutions to maintain the overall integrity of the platform, including operating systems, hardware and software infrastructure that are critical to the companys user populace and application environments. Required Education -Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field. In lieu of a degree, at least 12 years of experience in the role of Platform Engineer or related positions. Preferred Education -?Azure Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer preferred Must Haves-5+ years of experience in platform engineering and infrastructure components-Experience in automated interaction with physical infrastructure-Experience in managing and maintaining cloud-based environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure-Experience with monitoring and log management tools such as Nagios, Splunk, and ELK -Experience in developing and implementing backup and disaster recovery strategies-Excellent scripting experience in languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash-Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, and Terraform Preffered -AWS Cloud experience and certifications -Github Actions Experience or Certification
