Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an immediate opening for an IT Servers Engineer.As an IT Senior Servers Engineer, you may potentially work at the Corporate office in Cleveland, Ohio or Burns Harbor, IN. Summary of Responsibilities: The Senior IT Servers Engineer will coordinate/participate in the design-installation of the IT Server projects and help to provide base support (Break-Fix-Moves-Adds-Changes) The Senior IT Servers Engineer will design, configure, coordinate, and participate in the installation of all IT Server infrastructure equipment (hosts, servers, storage, appliances, etc.) Senior Windows Administrator ensures the smooth running of the company's VMware and server systems, while maintaining an elevated level of security Coordinate server upgrades adhering all change control requirements and communicate these changes to the business Monitor server security compliance, event logging and remediate security incidents Manage monthly server security patching and run compliance reports during the scheduled patching cycle Ability to interface with all levels of the organization in a professional manner Some on-call, after hours and weekend work may be required Minimum Qualifications: Minimum five years' experience with Windows server administration Minimum five years' experience with VMware ESXi and vCenter administration Experience with installing or upgrading Windows systems and servers Advance knowledge of VMware ESXi setup, deployment, and maintenance Experience with networks including LAN/WAN, DNS/DHCP and wireless Experience with troubleshooting system, problem isolation and formulating solutions Monitoring system performance and provide potential solutions to management Working knowledge of Microsoft System Manager, SCOM and SCCM Windows administration via PowerShell & command line scripting Network device management & monitoring via SNMP protocol (including third party apps like PRTG). Data backup & recovery via McAfee, and Commvault Ability to manage all aspects of a project including budget and procurement Strong verbal and written communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience Working knowledge of security systems, CyberArk, Thycotic, McAfee, and Qualys Working knowledge of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance Windows-based virtualization via Hyper-V and Nutanix Ability to create scripts in PowerShell and similar languages Familiarity with backups (Veeam, Backup Exec, Commvault) and backup concepts for on premise and cloud systems A good understanding for remote network concepts, proxy server and VPN systems Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America.
