Our client is a leading global chemical group, specializing in performance additives and solutions for water treatment & lubricants, oil & gas and plastics, flame retardants and boasts a wide product range able to fulfil the requirements of the most demanding applications, including personal care.

Located in Cleveland, OH

Schedule : M-F 2 nd shift (3p-11p)

Pay : $26.50/hr-$28.50/hr

Type : Direct Hire

The QA Chemist collaborates closely with Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing,

Maintenance, Shipping, and Receiving. The incumbent must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment and be a self-starter.

Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field; or equivalent experience in a laboratory setting.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to focus on tasks and prioritize effectively.

  • Experience working with analytical equipment, including but not limited to, XRF, Flash point, Viscometers, Auto Titrators and FTIR.

  • Background in ISO 9001-2015.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong preference towards chemical manufacturing/processing.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine laboratory tests, such as sample preparation, chemical analysis, and qualitycontrol checks, following established protocols.

  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure accurateand reliable results.

  • Record, analyze, and interpret data, while ensuring proper documentation and adherence todata integrity principles.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment, adhering to all safetyprotocols and regulations.

  • Assist with product investigations, CAPAs/CARs, and timely reporting and closure &communication of product nonconformances including issuance of corrective actions.

  • Preparation and shipment of samples to customers to DOT and IATA requirements.
