Cleveland-Cliffs is in search of a Lead IT Network Engineer at our Corporate office in Cleveland, OH. As the most senior member of the Enterprise Network Architecture team, The Lead Network Engineer will provide a high level of technical and subject matter leadership and is a recognized expert with the Cleveland-Cliffs Network Engineering/Architecture sector. This position will work closely with a team of experienced IT Infrastructure Engineers.The Lead Network Engineer will work with multiple network and network security technologies including Cisco and Palo Alto.This position will be responsible for driving the Network Architecture and Network Vision for the company and will provide mentorship and technical leadership to the team. The ideal candidate must have technical depth and a customer-first mentality, the motivation to take the initiative to own and resolve customer issues, and interest in working in a dynamic, fast-growing, learning environment. Summary of Responsibilities: Lead the technical design and architecture for the IT Enterprise Network Provide guidance and technical leadership to other members of the Network group Build and own the Network Automation platform which will be leveraged to maintain and configure the network at scale Work and establish relationships with outside vendors and external partners Stay abreast on current IT Network technology in order to inform the Enterprise Network technical strategy Provide timely responses to all incidents, tasks and requests assigned to meet Service Level Agreements Take part in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency support Minimum Qualifications: 10+ years of large scale Enterprise Network experience within a manufacturing IT environment 10+ years experience architecting network solutions which leverage Enterprise Class routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP and OSPF 10+ years experience architecting robust, highly-available, and secure Network Architecture for Enterprise Scale network environments 3+ years experience in a technical leadership role Experience architecting and implementing complex Network solutions in a large enterprise environment Subject matter expertise in network design supporting mission-critical, customer-facing applications and services Must understand how to deploy and maintain a Zero Trust, Least Privilege network security policy within the infrastructure 3+ years of experience building Network Automation platforms in large Enterprise Network environments Experience leading technical projects, from architecture to implementation.
