Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. IT Network Engineer in Cleveland, Ohio

Cleveland-Cliffs is looking for an IT Network Engineer at our Corporate office in Cleveland, OH. As a member of the IT Network Services Team, you will play a critical role in the development, deployment, and maintenance of our network automation and monitoring solutions. We are looking for someone who is passionate about technology and eager to take on new challenges in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position will work closely with a team of experienced Network and Network Security Engineers. This position will be critical in supporting the success of Cleveland-Cliffs and will provide excellent opportunity for career growth and progression.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize our monitoring and observability infrastructure, including monitoring, logging, and tracing systems, to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.

  • Automate processes to streamline deployment, monitoring, and incident response.

  • Assist support teams in monitoring, diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues in production environments.

  • Continuously research and evaluate new observability tools and technologies to keep our monitoring solutions up to date.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience deploying and maintaining enterprise scale network monitoring systems.

  • 5+ years of experience implementing network automation solutions.

  • Strong understanding and experience in network engineering and supporting enterprise network architecture.

  • Must be a lifelong learner with a positive attitude and growth mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with any of the following tools:

  • Logic Monitor

  • Pager Duty

  • Network Node Manager

  • Splunk

  • Security Onion

  • Ansible

  • Python

  • Cisco DNA

  • Industry Network Certifications Preferred
