We are assisting our eastside healthcare client in their direct-hire search for a talented HR & Employee Relations Manager, responsible for handling employee relations, union grievances, FMLA, workers compensation, full-cycle recruitment, onboarding and other HR duties for multiple locations. Also, ensures compliance with all policies and procedures, employment laws, as well as rules and regulations set forth by applicable regulatory or accreditation bodies.

Pays up to $80k and offers a very competitive benefit package.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • PHR/SPHR certification desirable

  • 3-5 years relevant experience, preferably in healthcare industry (will also consider candidates from manufacturing and hospitality)

  • Union experience a plus but not required

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, organizational skills and strong customer service orientation

  • Demonstrated experience in ability to engage with all levels of staff

  • Solid knowledge of local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations

  • Exposure to, solid understanding of, and/or professional experience in other areas of HR (i.e., policy administration, employee/labor relations, performance management, discipline, benefits, payroll, leaves/FMLA, workers compensation, health/wellness programs)

  • Computer literacy required, including strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook with some familiarity with HRIS and applicant tracking systems
