Electrical Controls Engineer / PLC & HMI Machine Controls - Cleveland, Ohio - JOB 24-00202 Salary Range: $80k - $120k + Permanent Position with Benefits. Eastern Cleveland, Ohio suburb company is seeking several Electrical (PLC / HMI) Machine Controls Engineers to determine specifications, choosing electrical controls & components, designing and control loop, programming and testing PLCs and HMIs. REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor degree in Electrical (BSEE / BSEET) and applicable experience is required • Strong understanding of PLC & HMI / SCADA (programmable logic control & human machine interface) machine controls • Knowledge of variable speed motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFD) • Ability to design, detail electrical drawings , program & troubleshoot machine control systems • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to work with customers to determine specifications, choose electrical controls & components, design control loops, program and test PLCs and HMIs • Occasional out of town travel with valid passport or ability to get a passport. • Local travel likely, occasional overnight for automated machinery installation and system start-up • 10% overnight / out of town travel for machinery installation and system start-up • Field service work: analyze engineering problems, find solutions and repair, and provide recommendations for improved performance. Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen. Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.
