Location: For Those Who Work At Home - Various, Ohio 44145 ABOUT THE JOB The Data Risk Validation Analyst III position resides in the 2nd Line of Defense (LOD) within the Data Risk Governance Office (DRGO).DRGO is the firm-wide oversight program for data risk management. This position will be integral to the maturity of the Data Risk Validation (DRV) function which will include assisting in establishing and implementing the 2LOD data risk validation framework, conducting DRV procedures using a risk-based methodology, performing data controls testing, and developing and maintaining stakeholder reporting that integrates a holistic picture of data risk and data risk program health. As part of this oversight role, experience to identify material data risks and test controls, developing effective risk mitigation strategies, understanding of data risk management principles and data governance practices, effective communication and project management skills is ideal. Candidate must establish effective business relationships, displaying an ability to interact and promote a good day-to-day rapport with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd LOD stakeholders throughout Key. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Conduct data risk and control validation assessments in compliance with our data risk management practices. Identify gaps and deficiencies in existing data risk controls, evaluate deficiencies, and recommend remediation actions to address deficiencies. Drafting validation reports and presentations, highlighting area of concerns, emerging risks, and remedial actions to stakeholders and senior management. Maintain subject matter expertise on emerging data risk trends, data risk management, regulatory guidance, and industry practices. Responsible for primary execution of DRV and help guide and influence implementation of data risk policies and/or procedures to mitigate risk within appetite. Collaborate in developing DRV strategies to address emerging data risk and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Timely escalation of issues and exceptions to management in accordance with procedures and/or sound-based judgment. Develop/maintain strong positive working relationships with LOBs, staff, peers, other risk partners and senior management. Assist in requests for information related to internal and external audits, examinations, regulatory inquiries, and/or investigations. Also, assist in the evaluation of audit and other examination findings, implementation of corrective action, and needed responses. Assist with other tasks as required to ensure team objectives are achieved, even if they are outside the usual area of responsibility. Comply with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, always acting professionally, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, acting in the best interest of Key's clients and Key. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree - Information Technology, Finance, Business, or related field. 3+ years of industry experience ideally in data risk, data controls, technology risk, risk management, risks and controls testing, compliance or equivalent experience. Flexibility to switch priorities based on the needs of Key's fast-paced environment and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to grasp complex concepts quickly and be able to identify data risks and compensating controls. Excellent problem-solving, oral, written, communication and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to work with all levels of management within Key. Strong analytical/research skills, ability to effectively summarize findings and meticulous attention to detail. Self-motivated and outstanding active listening skills. Proficient PC skills with experience in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and SharePoint.
