TelCom Construction Assoc Engineer Software in Clearwater, Minnesota

Overview and Essential Functions

Under the direction of IT Management, this position will provide hands-on experience in various facets of database customization and programming, writing code, testing scripts and designing layouts. The position will gather and review business department requirements, collaboratively design and implement their solutions, maintain and document the processes developed and communicate them to end users.

What will you do?

  • Maintains regular communication to monitor and assure current customer satisfaction;

  • Provides strategic business support to the IT function as a whole;

  • Documents processes and procedures as they are being developed;

  • Assists in the training of new procedures developed;

  • Collaborates and implements design elements into a variety of projects. This will include user interfaces, back end computer code as well as database tables and reports;

  • Supports Management Information/Business Intelligence initiatives;

  • Supports the integration of data collection and report creation within business design standards;

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Access, Visual Studio, Database Management tools, basic database design, basic programming, internet software, project management software, spreadsheets and word processing software. The following computer skills are strongly preferred:

  • Visual Studio (C#)

  • Outsystems or other similar low-code development environment

  • Table Structure, Query Design, Unbound Form Design

  • Basic MS SQL Server Databases, Report Writing Software (ie: Crystal Reports, PowerBI, etc)

  • Acute attention to detail

  • Good, honest and respectful written and verbal communications skills

  • Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision or in small group settings

  • Perceptive demeanor that can relate to individuals at all levels throughout the Company

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude

  • Ability to handle and protect highly confidential information

  • Strong organizational skills and time management
