Job Description

This role is responsible for execution and earned value management (scope, budget and schedule) of the Avionics North America Material Cost Productivity and Test Equipment Capital Projects. This role includes reporting to senior and executive leadership for project approvals and during weekly/monthly operating reviews. The MCP and CAPEX Project Manager has direct reporting into the Sustaining and Test Organization with dotted line reporting into the MCP Leadership team and the CAPEX review board.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for project execution and earned value management for MCP and CAPEX projects (scope, budget and schedule ownership).

  • Prioritizes and ensures efficient application of engineering resources to successfully execute projects.

  • Utilizes Flight Deck tools for project dailymanagement and standard work.

  • Facilitates and organizes project workshops or kaizen events to achieve project goals.

  • Reports to business leaders on MCP and CAPEX project status.

  • Leads trade studies and build business cases for proposed productivity projects.

  • Interfaces with engineering people leaders to ensure staffing and resources are allocated for successful project execution.

  • Interfaces cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders including finance, engineering, sourcing, quality, supply chain and program management.

  • Uses technical experience and analytical thinking to resolve project challenges.

  • Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.

  • At least 7 years of experience in a related Job Family Group(s)/Function(s).
