Full-Time and Part-Time Responsible for serving food and beverage to guests in a courteous, friendly manner in accordance with established service standards to ensure positive guest experience. REPORTS TO: Dining Room Supervisor ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Include the following; however, other duties may be assigned. 1. Greet guests, take beverage and food orders; place into point of service system. 2. Abide by State, Federal, and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages. 3. Offer helpful guidance with menu and daily special offerings; responding knowledgeably to questions. 4. Pick up food order from presentation area; ensure food is properly prepared. 5. Periodically check in to ensure guest needs are met. 6. Prepare and stock service station for readiness prior to opening and closing each shift. 7. Follow all established cash handling and bank operating procedures. 8. Perform other food and beverage functions such as bartending or bussing in the event of staffing shortage or breaks. 9. Be aware of guest satisfaction scores; work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction. 10. Practice safe work habits; comply with attendance rules and be available for work on a regular basis. 2 REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must have the ability to communicate in English both verbal and written. A self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Ability to use point of service computer; knowledge of state liquor laws. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associate, customer, and guests. Ability to transport large trays weighing up to 30 pounds through a crowded room on a continued basis throughout the shift.
