Job Title: Process Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Improve the reliability of systems and equipment in the assigned process area, reduce downtime, and support the operation of the assigned process.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

  • Actively improve performance and reliability of process equipment.

  • Restore function to equipment effectively and correctly.

  • Actively participate in and support Event Response.

  • Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on assigned process.

  • Operate, monitor, and control equipment, systems, and processes assigned.

  • Support and implement system/equipment reliability improvement projects.

  • Support and assist in all aspects of process operations.

  • Record and review production data in BPRs and associated forms.

  • Other accountabilities as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Mechanical, electrical, and automation knowledge.

  • Experience in maintenance repair.

  • Ability to perform predictive and preventative maintenance.

  • Process improvement thinking.

  • Familiarity with compressed air, electro-mechanical controls, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and robotics systems.

  • Experience with automated record systems such as SAP, schematics, wiring diagrams, and other technical documents.

  • Computer literacy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to move equipment or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds within the facility.

  • Routinely operate and inspect manufacturing equipment using hands.

  • Ability to be on feet for up to a 12-hour shift.

  • Corrected vision to 20/30.

  • Occasionally ascend/descend a ladder to service equipment and work atop elevated positions.

  • Ability to work around odorous and/or hazardous materials, occasionally requiring latex gloves.

  • Occasionally position self within confined spaces for inspection, repair, and maintenance of equipment.

  • Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection.

  • Ability to attain clean room gowning certification and work with hazardous materials including sanitants.

  • Frequent bending, stooping, and prolonged working overhead.

  • Ability to work the hours necessary to support a 24/7 continuous manufacturing operation.

Work Environment

This is a manufacturing environment where the team is currently overworked and stressed. New hires will be welcomed and supported as they help the team succeed. Initial training will be Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, after which the shift will likely move to the night shift. Scrubs are provided, and closed-toed shoes or work boots are required. Employees change in the locker room provided.
