Principle Knowledge and Content Management Specialist needed to establish and lead our IT Knowledge Management Practice. This role will focus on developing and implementing a comprehensive knowledge management strategy, creating and maintaining IT documentation, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the IT department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IT knowledge management strategies aligned with organizational goals

  • Establish and document knowledge management processes and best practices

  • Oversee the creation, organization, and maintenance of knowledge articles, FAQs, and other documentation

  • Promote knowledge sharing and collaboration across the IT department

  • Develop and deliver training programs on knowledge management processes and tools

  • Select and implement knowledge management tools to ensure integration with existing ITSM systems

  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of knowledge management initiatives and implement improvements

  • Ensure compliance with knowledge management policies and data security regulations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT service management, with a focus on knowledge management

  • ITIL v3/v4 certification preferred, Knowledge-Centered Service (KCS) certification is a plus

  • Strong understanding of ITSM frameworks and best practices

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in knowledge management tools and platforms

  • ServiceNow knowledge management is a plus

  • Fluent in English and Spanish

Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Frequently sits for 6-8 hours per day. Frequent hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Occasionally walks and stands. Occasionally bends and twists neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying objects with a maximum lift of 25lbs. Frequently drives to site locations with occasional travel within the United States. Able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken and written words and sentences. Interacts with others, relates sensitive information to diverse groups. Must work with diverse groups to obtain consensus on issues.
