As the Facilities Cost Control Lead, you are directly responsible for coordinating, planning, and monitoring progress of all cost reduction projects within the Facilities team. In addition, this position requires regular monitoring of actual expenses, reviewing quarterly budgets, and ensuring service contracts are being administered as written. This role must work closely with each manager and supervisor to resolve financial needs of each group or position. As the Cost Coordinator for the Facilities team, your position requires strong team engagement, mentoring, communication, and the ability to develop cohesive inter-departmental relationships. Your vision and input to the financial direction of the Facilities group is important and expected."

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Cost Reduction Project Management

  • Ensure projects are accurately prioritized, remain on time, and that areas are knowledgeable of their timelines

  • Ensure accuracy of projected savings

  • Ensure timelines are accurate & sufficiently aggressive

  • Initiate new cost savings projects.

  • Participate in Area Cost Meetings

  • Facilitate bi-weekly cost meetings to identify active project progress and needs.

  • Assist in coordination of efforts between all 300mm sites and Central Teams.

Service Contract Management

  • Monitor and handle service contract performance.

  • Ensure accurate accounting for all parts used to support contracts.

  • Track vendor labor requirements to drive accountability and future reductions.

  • Engage with Purchasing and the Cost Reduction teams in developing a Service Contract elimination strategy.

  • Audit each area to make sure that individual equipment is set up properly for contract management and cost assignment.

Reporting

  • Own weekly reporting with respect to area progress, procedures, new developments, etc…

  • Keep area SharePoint site up to date with links and information to Cost Reduction efforts.

  • Work with all 300mm sites to align on a WW monthly report format.

  • Develop benchmark Cost Control practices and assign appropriate actions to sustain benchmark results.

Budgeting

  • Work with all Sites and Central Teams in developing a bottoms up budgeting approach.

  • Use the bottoms up budget to develop a clean sheet analysis for reducing waste and generating new projects.

  • Understand and drive efforts that will exceed budget targets.

  • Engage with Finance in developing future budgets.

PM Management

  • Work with area techs/engineers to develop a strategy for each workstation that will streamline PM frequencies.

  • Work with Purchasing to develop and implement MRP strategies.

  • Material Tracking (Tool CoO).

  • Understand items not being tracked consistently to give better transparency to tool CoO and commit to accurate reporting.

Environmental, Health, Safety and Security

  • Follow all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations

  • Be an active participant in the EHSS program by reporting all EHSS-related concerns or problems immediately to the appropriate individual (ERT, Supervision, etc.)

  • Be proactive in reducing incidents of personal injuries, safety hazards or environmental releases.

Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Construction Management or Accounting or Finance or relevant experience

Qualifications

  • Broad background in facility and building management

  • Good computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and the ability to lead and direct both internal and external resources

  • Must have excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication and presentation skills and ability to communicate well with management team

  • Essential that you have strong leadership skills and ability to collaborate in teams, work on multiple tasks simultaneously, and make decisions with minimal guidance or counseling

  • Minimum 3 years in construction management

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$101,000.00 - $171,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
