Job Description

As a NY Facilities Cost Manager, you will be responsible for leading capital oversight and support to the Micron’s Global Facilities Network. Your role is lead a premier Facilities cost culture, through optimization of cost programs such as Facilities Cost Reduction, Cost SEAL, Monthly Capital and Facilities Sustaining Capital, and through measurement of performance and setting of daring goals. You will work with Global Process and Equipment Engineering teams, Cost Reduction teams, Procurement, Finance, and other business partners to achieve Micron corporate cost efficiency goals and business plan.

This position will be required to operate in a Hybrid capacity out of our Clay, New York office. As we are developing and growing our site, we have flexibility on remote work until the facility has space for team members. Relocation to the site will be provided and will be required when needed.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Run Facilities Cost Culture

  • Provide support and guidance to the Facilities Cost SEAL programs to drive continuous cost improvements to be Best-in-Class.

  • Collaborate with OCT to effectively share and implement Cost Reduction opportunities.

  • Identify and lead activities to implement, improve and sustain business processes which allow Micron Facilities Costs to be best in class.

Support Cost Programs

  • Develop, implement, and improve Facilities Cost and Capital Management processes that align with Corporate Business processes.

  • Work with Corporate Finance to complete a quarterly review of Expense budget actual and projected performance.

Measure Cost Performance

  • Provide Cost Engineers with direction and resources for developing cost metrics and setting appropriate goals based on metric performance

Provide Team Leadership

  • Support Cost Engineers by providing direction, removing barriers, and setting appropriate goals.

  • Create and implement strategies according to requirements (e.g. partner, regulatory, corporate, departmental)

  • Monitor performance to plan

  • Maintain domain knowledge to provide subject matter expertise

  • Actively participate in or lead functional teams and projects

  • Maintain knowledge of and apply company safety, labor, and ethics policies

  • Oversee execution of mandatory training for direct reports

  • Identify and resolve and / or report potential safety, security, and labor issues

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Finance preferred, equivalent experience encouraged!

Experience/Qualifications

  • 5 years experience in any of the following: • Procurement • Finance • Cost Control • Project Management

  • Good understanding of capital processes (preferable with fundamental knowledge of Facilities operations/engineering, energy efficiency and cost model)

  • Demonstrate ability to manage and move cost projects effectively through the project lifecycle.

  • Excellent PC skills, especially in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook as the candidate will need to manage and analyze a significant amount of data and provide a concise summary.

  • Familiarity with cost tools cost software.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to effectively organize and facilitate meetings.

  • Demonstrate high level integrity in managing sensitive data.

  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and respect.

  • Adaptability to embrace Business Volatility.

  • Able to develop long term working relationship and trust across the global Facilities network

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$101,000.00 - $171,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
