Internship-5 hours a day \$20.00 per hour Dates of Employment: JUNE 1 \' AUGUST 31, 2024 The Mobility Management program is designed to provide support and encouragement to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and others who need a safe and efficient way to maintain or gain transit independence. The Mobility Assistant will assist the Mobility Manager with transportation assistance through education and coordination of regional transportation services. Reporting to the Mobility Manager, the Mobility Assistant will work on a variety of projects and programs focused on improving accessibility and equity as well as expanding awareness of mobility choices for those underserved by transit and people with disabilities. The Mobility Assistant will work to expand knowledge of Mobility Management by providing outreach events to create awareness of the programs and services available to members of the community. QUALIFICATIONS: \' Freshman to Junior College Level to satisfy the requirement of the Special Districts Association of Oregon Internship Program. \' Experience in clerical work \' Experience in customer service \' Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and able to utilize various online applications. \' Follow oral and written instructions. \' Work well under pressure and possess good problem-solving skills. \' Must possess basic math and computation skills. \' Listen effectively and communicate in an effective and professional manner, both orally and in writing. \' Perform duties with little supervision. DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS \' Proficient bilingual Spanish speaking skills ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS \' Assist the Mobility Management program with Transit Engagements and RIDEPAL travel training. \' Provide mobility assistance and coordination of regional transportation services to new and existing clients. \' Maintain bus stop/shelter location and amenities list. \' Plan, maintain, assist and execute micro pop-up outreach events and other special events within the service area. \' Asist with vault counting when requested. \' Answer Mobility Program calls, answer emails and be available for various other communication efforts. \' Learn the use of radio and cell phone to contact and coordinate rider trip plans as needed. \' Help in the planning, production and distribution of Mobility Focus Travel Training videos. \' Document and forward any compliments or complaints. \' Attend training and classes as directed. \' Other duties as assigned
