Mississippi Employer Surveillance Operator in Clarksdale, Mississippi

Scope and main purpose of job:

Responsible for protecting casino assets via CCTV.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

*GENERAL    *

Responsible for planning, communicating, and implementing procedures in accordance with director.

Observe all activities of guests and employees on the casino floor, cage, change booths, and count rooms via the closed circuit television system for criminal activity and/or violation of the state gaming commission regulations and the company policies and procedures.

Videotape activities where appropriate and report observations to appropriate company and state officials.

Record surveillance activity in daily log.

EQUIPMENT/TECHNICAL

Computer, all CCTV equipment, VCR, multiplayers, alarm systems, and listening device.

WORK AREA

Closed office environment.  

Casino environment exposed to hot and cold temperatures, excessive noise levels, bright lights, and smoke.  

May include boat and/or floating barge.  

High rise hotel and atrium. 

Use of stairs, elevators, and escalators.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Sitting             75%

Walking           15%

Standing          10%

Constant monitor observance

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

A high school diploma or GED equivalent.  

Knowledge of casino games by dealer experience of one year, all games preferred on attendance at dealer schools.  

Must be able to obtain a gaming license.  

On the job training is provided

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions. 

Knowledge of computers and all CCTV equipment.  

Knowledge of casino games and internal controls.  

Knowledge of PPE (Personal Protection Equipment).
