Description/Job Summary

This position is responsible for lubrication, preventative maintenance, and repair of all equipment.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Performs other duties as required. Troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of mechanical equipment.

  • Lubrication and preventative maintenance (PM) of mechanical equipment.

  • Assists Electronic technician in electrical and electronic duties.

  • Able to perform welding, machining, and millwright duties.

  • Assembles, and installs new mechanical equipment, enters work orders in the maintenance management system; able to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.

  • Maintain all equipment in good running order, perform route checks and report deficiencies.

  • Ensure the job site is clean and free of hazards, follow GMP practices.

Required Skills

  • Must have good communication skills

  • Must be able to multi-task

  • Must be able and willing to work overtime on an as needed basis. Must be willing to be on-call and work some nights and weekends that are required

  • Electrical background is a plus, but not required

  • The ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings is a plus

Required Experience

  • Five (5) years as a journeyman level millwright and additional skills to operate lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other machine shop equipment

  • Have a strong background in troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as machining experience is required

  • Basic computer knowledge

  • Safety glasses, ear plugs, and steel toe shoes is required on some or all jobs
