ManpowerGroup Diesel Mechanic in Clarksburg, West Virginia

Our client in the commercial construction industry is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join their team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the Fleet Management Team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

Location: Clarksburg, WV

Pay Range: $20 to $25 per hour based on experience

What's the Job?

  • Consulting the customer and reading work orders to evaluate the tasks required.

  • Preparing work plans after fully scoping out the issues.

  • Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions.

  • Inspecting equipment systems.

  • Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, and other associated parts.

  • Conducting field visits in case of an emergency or sudden breakdown.

  • Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance.

  • Completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment, and brake checks.

  • Changing hoses, lubricating fittings, other maintenance duties as assigned.

  • Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles/equipment.

What's Needed?

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Diesel engine training & certification

  • 2 years experience preferred.

  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Steel toe/composite work boots
