What You Will Do:
As the Senior Manager, Direct Sourcing, you will lead a team responsible for successfully executing product launches, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders from supplier selection to implementation. Key responsibilities include managing the quoting process for optimal costs, ensuring proper design and servicing parameters, proactive issue resolution, progress tracking, and meticulous documentation. This position also requires close collaboration with brands and plants to identify and implement sourcing strategies for top and bottom-line improvement.
The position demands market trend analysis to inform sourcing actions, leading or co-leading Money-To-Value discussions, and participating in innovation sessions. It includes preparing and presenting financial performance updates, communicating needs and priorities to cross-functional teams, and sharing results with stakeholders. Benchmarking and supplier relationship management are also critical components.
Finally, this role encompasses complete management of supplier operational and financial performance, including pricing validation, ADA (SAP) updates, invoice resolution, and process improvement. Proactive issue management and risk mitigation are vital, requiring timely communication and collaborative problem-solving with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.
What We Are Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain or similar discipline;
7+ years purchasing experience;
High degree of financial and analytical aptitude a must;
Excellent influencing and negotiating skills;
Exceptionally strong Excel and MS office skills;
Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to handle various situations, multiple priorities, changing business needs
