Summary:

Assemble the variety of products manufactured by Rogers Group and its entities at the designated work area. Product assembly will differ based on business needs and will be assembled at a workstation rather than an assembly line. The ideal assembler will be mechanically inclined with a strong working knowledge of blueprints, hand and power tools.

* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* The responsibilities listed below are not intended to be all-inclusive.

  • Positions parts according to the work order and blueprints.
  • Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, clips, rivets or other fasteners.
  • Operates hand drills, tool and rivet machines to assist in assembly operations.
  • Records all labor and downtime, documenting all information pertaining to each work order and routing.
  • Helps maintain all company safety regulations to provide a clean, accident-free and healthy work environment.
  • Verification of the fit, function and cosmetics meet or exceed Company quality expectations.
  • Confers with the team or crew leaders on any problems regarding safety, quality, production or inventory issues.
  • Additional duties may be assigned on an as required basis.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess basic math skills and ability to accurately read a tape measure.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: 

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret the English language. 
  • Associate must have the ability to communicate internally and externally effectively and efficiently.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Practical problem solving that can occur during the assembly process.

     

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

  • Frequent manual and finger dexterity required by the daily use of hand tools.
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, twist, reach, crouch, or kneel.
  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds regularly.
