Description

Astronics-Peco is looking to hire an experienced professional to work with our team as Staff Accountant in Clackamas Oregon. We are excited to be a growing team and are looking for a team member who will jump in and help to drive our success. This position is unique as it will utilize both General Ledger as well as Cost Accounting experience.

This job is right for you if you are a self-starter and look forward to working with a dynamic team to help drive results and impact the success of the company. The ability to work autonomously with a high degree of accuracy and audit knowledge is required. You will need to be an excellent communicator who is comfortable working heavily in cross functional teams.

You will be working for a public traded company that is engaged in manufacturing, new- product development, and R&D. We are subject to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), ITAR and other regulations. These regulations will provide you with an opportunity to build your resume.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform job cost/variance analysis

  • Process customer invoices daily

  • BOM/Standard cost analysis

  • Participate in month-end closing process by preparing journal entries

  • Assist with inventory/cycle count analysis

  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts

  • Assist Accounting Manager and VP of Finance with the annual budget by preparing schedules and performing necessary data entry

  • Maintain tooling, construction, and product development projects/jobs

  • Maintain fixed assets records and ensure all acquisitions and disposals are properly accounted for

  • Participate in annual inventory and financial audits

  • Prepare annual property tax return and reconcile Company records

Desired Training, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, preferred

  • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred

  • Analytical and Accurate

  • Excellent written and Verbal communication skills

  • ERP experience, Preferred

Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible.
