The Coca-Cola Company Principal Manufacturing Engineer - Temporary in Ciudad de México, Mexico

*This is a temporary 12-month position with the potential of becoming permanent based on performance and business needs.

Location: Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.

We're currently seeking a passionate and skilled Principal Manufacturing Engineer to join our vibrant team at the Coca-Cola Freestyle Innovation Center (FIC). This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact at our Guadalajara, MX location, where you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of our dispensing equipment production and after-sales services. Reporting directly to the Director of Manufacturing, you'll be instrumental in driving excellence and innovation with our contract manufacturers.

Your Impact:

  • Create cutting-edge testing procedures for our manufacturing processes that enhance both product and process quality.

  • Dive deep into test results, extracting insights and pioneering improvements to drive excellence.

  • Become the go-to problem solver, troubleshooting production challenges, and implementing effective solutions.

  • Spearhead efforts to minimize defect rates by developing and executing strategic plans.

  • Innovate and optimize our manufacturing processes to boost efficiency and performance.

  • Collaborate on design reviews and play a key role in the launch of new and exciting products.

  • Offer invaluable DFx feedback to our NPI Manager, ensuring continuous improvement and excellence.

  • Develop strong relationships with key suppliers to create and refine fixtures and jigs, simplifying assembly processes and guaranteeing quality control.

  • Take charge of quality issues, addressing them directly with suppliers while maintaining rigorous production standards and KPIs.

  • Continuously evaluate and enhance supplier quality control processes, championing superior quality in every aspect.

  • Ability to travel to international manufacturing sites 25% of the time, broadening your experience and perspective.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a related field.

  • A Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification is a plus.

  • Advanced skills in English communication and writing.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, with proficiency in CAD or CAM software, APQP, PPAP, manufacturing operations, system integration with electromechanical systems, and more.

  • Experience with Kaizen events, Lean Manufacturing, Line balancing, and a solid foundation in HTML, Javascript, Typescript, JSON.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical expertise and top-notch problem-solving abilities (troubleshooting/debug).

  • Self-starter who can lead and work independently.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong project management skills.
