Citigroup SVP - Mexico Sourcing Lead in Ciudad De Mexico, Mexico

The Supply Chain Sourcing Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team with focus on Sourcing activities. The overall objective of this role is to drive the seamless delivery of goods and services requested by company personnel in support of the company's business.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Sourcing Analysts to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for the team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and coaching)

  • Both hands on work as well as team management is in scope for this role

  • This role involves management of a large book of work of sourcing projects and contracts. Activities / duties include working with the business stakeholders, internal colleagues, and external suppliers to negotiate new and renew agreements including master agreements, work orders, and amendments.

  • Set strategic direction with suppliers, establish supplier qualification criteria, execute RFPs, and model total cost of ownership

  • Establish strong relationships with internal business stakeholders; build a strong understanding of strategic business direction, requirements and priorities for all lines of business under cover

  • Liaise with global leads to ensure strategic programs are well represented in the regions and countries

  • Apply fundamental knowledge of sourcing processes to develop complex sourcing programs, supervise the sourcing process, and prioritize new complex sourcing programs

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding the firm, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, and applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, as well as driving a highly ethical and compliant team dynamic

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience

  • Solid English level

  • People management experience

  • Strategic sourcing management experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of eProcurement tools/systems

  • Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Proficient computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office applications

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree

  • Master’s degree a big plus
