BENTLEY MILLS Senior General Ledger Accountant in City Of Industry, California

The Senior General Ledger Accountant is responsible for providing timely and accurate reporting and analysis to multiple levels of the Bentley organization, collaborates with various business managers to identify and communicate actionable insights obtained from financial and operational data to promote analytically driven business decision-making across the company, maintains and develops financial models, standard templates and various reports to support planning processes, provides accurate and timely monthly closing of the general ledger, financial and other management reporting, assists with internal and external audits and participation in financial team projects. This position is responsible for a monthly review and analysis of all cost center spending and collaborating proactively with department heads to ensure that budgeted goals are met.

Essential Duties:

Ensure compliance with corporate vision and financial policies

Assure compliance with internal and external audit requirements

Support monthly closing of the general ledger, and review accounting transactions created by NetSuite and AS400-based CMS system to ensure accuracy of companys financial information

Perform various balance sheet and PandL reconciliations and record journal entries for assigned accounts, including other consolidating entities of the Bentley group

Provide insightful revenue and expense reporting analyses on a recurring basis including in-depth SGandA analysis including monthly report preparation and distribution to upper management enabling senior management to make informed decisions

Provide support to the preparation and review of annual corporate tax returns, tax provision calculations, quarterly estimated tax payments, and tax compliance

Prepare and distribute weekly Cash Forecast to corporate office, and various Ad-hoc/Miscellaneous reporting analysis

Assist with annual budgeting and monthly forecast cycle updates including maintenance and development of Excel models with input from various department managers

Update forecast in an accurate and timely manner based on information provided by department heads and collaborate proactively with department heads to ensure budgeted goals are met

Continuous procedural review to ensure effective financial control for all business units

Ad-hoc/Miscellaneous reporting and analysis

Assist management as needed

Assist cost centers with analysis as needed

Lead or assist with all Finance special projects

Minimum Qualifications:

3to 5 years financial experience in manufacturing environment

Strong financial systems and personal computer knowledge including proficiency with MS Office (specifically Excel, Word and Power Point) with NetSuite Software is preferred

Detailed understanding of business processes and company policies is required

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload efficiently and meet strict deadlines

Ability to perform detailed research and to provide solution driven results while demonstrating strong attention to detail

Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills

Strong analytical and organizational skills

Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting

This position reports to the Financial Controller of Bentley Mills.

The Senior General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for managing their expenses, complying with safety rules, environmental regulations and all other Company Policies and Procedures.
