This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Head Chef.

Come join us in a beautiful small town with a friendly welcoming community at our up and coming Bar and Grill in the great family oriented small town of Cisco, TX. We have grown extensively in the last year we have been open, and are looking to continue growing and improving.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leading a team of kitchen employees cooking and preparing many different dishes made to order.
  • Provide both positive and constructive feedback to ensure adherence to policies and procedures while also maintaining a high level of morale for all team members
  • Train all staff in the proper production of food and beverage products
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies to ensure all menu items can be prepared
  • Proactively interact with guests and appropriately solve problems as they arise
  • Act as Manager on Duty as needed
  • Maintain all food and beverage equipment to manufacturer specifications
  • Maintain and implement all recipes for banquet and restaurant menus
  • Control cost of sales through implementation of operating procedures
  • Develop positive business relationships with all food and beverage vendors
  • Develop/implement food and beverage operating checklists and ensure all kitchen management forms are accurately completed and maintained
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisors or management

Required Certifications

  • ServSafe Manager certification
  • Food handler certification

Required Skills

  • Intermediate skill level in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Intermediate proficiency in math and organizational skills
  • Excellent food production and presentation skills
  • Outstanding kitchen sanitation knowledge
  • Willingness and ability to work varied schedules including nights and weekends
  • Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)

Experience

  • Minimum one year of supervisory experience in a kitchen (fast casual dining preferred)
  • 4+ years total experience in kitchen operations
  • 2+ years of proven ability to successfully lead a team
  • Display effective communication skills with customers, management, vendors and employees
