JOB TITLE: Seasonal Landscaper MULTIPLE WORKSITES: Work will be performed in Pickaway County

JOB DESCRIPTION: Job start date 04/01/2024 - 04/12/2024.  Works on a crew to perform a variety of landscaping tasks for commercial and residential customers. Studies specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required before beginning the job. Uses hand tools to perform a variety of landscaping tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, seeding, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, and cleaning. Performs Spring/Fall Clean-up which may include mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing and removing thatch, and trimming and edging around flower beds, walks, and walls. Provides proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, and other grounds features. Digs holes to plant flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes; sweeps walkway of debris; trims trees, pulls weeds, shrubs, and hedges. Operates powered equipment such as mowers, tractors, bobcats, dingos, twin-axle vehicles, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws. Loads trucks at the beginning of each workday with the necessary tools, supplies, and equipment. Unloads trucks at the end of each workday and secures all tools and equipment in the garage. Maintains proper housekeeping at shop, jobsites, company vehicles, and equipment. Communicates to Crew Leader any repair or maintenance issues for vehicles and equipment. Follows established safety rules and regulations; maintains a safe and clean environment. Performs all other duties as assigned. 

REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to detect mechanical issues from short distances to determine what action needs to be taken. The employee must regularly move tools and equipment weighing up to 85 pounds.

WORK HOURS: 7:30 am  - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday

WAGE OFFER: $23.16 per hour paid weekly / Overtime $34.74 per hour

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES

BOARD, LODGING, OR FRINGE BENEFITS No board, lodging, or fringe benefits apply.  

DAILY TRANSPORTATION (OPTIONAL) Workers are responsible for daily transportation to and from the designated pick-up location. Employer will then provide each work crew with daily transportation among the worksite locations.

FIRST WORKWEEK GUARANTEE Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visas, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees).

Inbound / Outbound Transportation and Subsistence If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
