EMSL is seeking a Laboratory Analyst II (Materials Science) in Cinnaminson, NJ. This position involves preparing and analyzing samples for chemical and physical properties using a variety of analytical chemistry instrumentation. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Utilize specialized equipment for chemical and physical characterization of materialsPrepare and analyze samples to quantitatively measure chemical and physical parameters in a variety of matrices: solids/soil, food, and/or waterFollow standard operating procedures, quality control procedures, and data validation established for each analytical methodsThe analytical techniques to be used may involve ICP/ICP-MS, GC/GC-MS, HPLC, IC, spectroscopy (FT-IR, near-IR, UV-VIS), DSC/TGADesign experiments to provide analytical data and interpretation to solve problems requested by customersEquipment maintenance/qualification; interaction with vendor service and application supportInteract with both internal and external customers to understand the requirements and planning work flowSummarize the analytical data upon completion and generate final reportsRequirements:Bachelors of Science in a chemical or physical science field of studyThree plus years of laboratory experience is preferred.Ability to work well under minimal, consultative direction, strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skillsMust have excellent communication skills and have the ability to multi-task.Must have effective verbal/written communication skills, be self-motivated, well-organized, and a constructive, effective team player.Must be able work well independently and with a team.Available Shift: Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. EMSL offers full time benefits: medical, dental, 401(k), voluntary benefits, paid time off, holiday pay and a flexible spending account.To find out more about EMSL Analytical, Inc. please visit our website at: www.emsl.com EOE including Veterans and Disabled.
