About the role:

As the Vice President of Accounting Operations for TQL, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership for our accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), cash operations and paperwork processing teams. You will be leading an organization of more than 300 team members, providing critical operational support for the company. You will be expected to apply prior experience in accounting operations and acquire a deep understanding of our business processes, drivers, and success metrics. You will be expected to continue and improve upon our efforts to develop a world-class operation in the areas of accuracy, timeliness, and customer service. You will also be responsible for partnering with TQL Technology to define and prioritize development work and ensure successful delivery of innovative, performance driven technology solutions.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead the accounting operations teams
  • Support the CFO in designing and delivering the company's billing, paying, cash operations and overall accounting operations strategy
  • Review, enhance, and continuously improve processes, metrics, and reporting related to billing and accounts receivables
  • Work with the leadership team to identify risks and resolve issues related to the quality of core deliverables
  • Assist with identifying and implementing improvements to ERP systems and other packaged and custom applications
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting processes
  • Identify and monitor key controls related to core billing and vendor payment operations
  • Work with external auditors to address all process and control matters
  • Design future operating models for aggressive growth through domestic and international expansion, and M&A
  • Attract, hire, retain, and develop a best-in-class team

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree, advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in middle or back office financial operations
  • Experience leading complex, high-volume operations teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated high-impact process improvement experience at a mid-to-large company
  • Strong experience in operations management concepts and tools such as volume forecasting, capacity planning, quality assurance, and systems
  • Excellent understanding of change management, organizational strategy and design, and process, operational, and system improvement
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of ownership and accountability
  • Results driven
  • Ability to communicate, collaborate, motivate, and influence at all levels of an organization
