As a Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our information and technology infrastructure. Responsibilities: 1. Engineering and Implementation: - Design, implement, and monitor security measures to protect our computer systems, networks, and sensitive information. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security protocols are effectively integrated into our systems. 2. System Health Monitoring: - Monitor system health and performance to identify vulnerabilities, anomalies, and potential security threats. - Respond promptly to security incidents and take necessary corrective actions. 3. System Maturity: - Assess and enhance the security maturity of our systems and processes. - Continuously improve security practices by staying informed about industry trends and best practices. 4. New Product Evaluations and Testing: - Evaluate security aspects of new products and technologies before their adoption. - Conduct thorough security testing, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis. 5. Program Maintenance: - Maintain and update security programs and policies in alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational goals. - Regularly review and enhance security controls. 6. Project and Product Deployments: - Provide security guidance during project planning and execution. - Ensure secure deployment of new systems, applications, and services. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, related field, or equivalent work experience * Proven work experience as a IT Systems Engineer or Information Security Engineer. * In-depth technical knowledge of database and operating systems. * Hands-on experience with security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, and log management. * Familiarity with network security, networking technologies, and system monitoring tools. * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. * Must be a US Citizen. Additional Information: * This position reports to the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $80,000 to $110,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
