This can pay out up to 9% of your annual income POSITION SUMMARY Reporting directly to the EHS&S Manager, the EHS&S Specialist is responsible for supporting the facility personnel regarding health, safety, and environmental programs. This role will also support Sustainability, Responsible Care, and ISO 14001 certification requirements. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education, Credentials, Licenses: Bachelor's degree in safety, environmental, related field or equivalent combination of education and experience Kind & Length of Experience: 3+ years of experience in EHS&S. 5+ years' experience in manufacturing environment Self-motivated team player. High level of oral and written communication and training skills. Proficient in the use of Microsoft office applications. Ability to positively interact with employees at all levels within the organization. Detail oriented. Facility Security officer (certified with-in 90 days of employment) DOT RCRA trained (required with-in 90 days of employment) SWP-3 trained (required with-in 90 days of employment) PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS Support Behavior Based Safety program. Support and drive an employee driven safety team. Acts as liaison to EHS&S activity within the organization and supports all other departments/locations in the business as needed. Collects and reports all EHS&S metrics relevant to your site. Maintains facility records in accordance with OSHA/EPA/DOT/FRA regulations. Support ISO 14001, Responsible Care and Sustainability Audits as directed. Maintains the industrial hygiene program site(s) programs. Completes all training assignments as required. Complies with all safety and environmental objectives/programs/policies of the facility. Deliver/coordinate EH&S training. Maintain compliance with EH&S regulatory requirements and permits.
