Company: Nolte Precise Manufacturing Location: Cincinnati, OH Position: Shipping/Receiving Technician Summary: Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Compares identifying information on counts, weights or measures for all incoming and outgoing shipments to identify information against bills of lading, packing lists, orders or other records. Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates. Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons to identify where package is going and method of shipment. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Requisitions shipping materials and supplies to ensure a supply is on hand. May operate folk lift truck or use hand truck to move product/ Essential Job Functions: Loads, unloads and stores materials, components and supplies within or near plant Opens containers and bundles to verify quantity and product against Purchase orders for receiving Prepares items for shipping by picking, banding, strapping, bracing or padding to prevent damage of product in accordance with shipment schedule Communicate with carriers for pick up specifications and special delivery instructions Secures lifting attachments to materials to load or unload to destination using crane or hoist Lifts heavy objects by hand or using manual or power equipment Operate fork lift to move materials, as needed Follow policies and procedures, Vision, Values, Principles and Philosophies Maintain acceptable attendance.
