UC HEALTH LLC Regisered Nurse, Clinical Supervisor, Blood Cancer Healing Center in CINCINNATI, Ohio
UC Health is hiring a full Time Registered Nurse (RN) for BMT/Hematology department for the second shift. Be a part of a growing Bone Marrow Transplant and Infusion program, by making an indelible impact cancer patient's lives through caring for them with the most advanced treatment. The Clinical Shift Supervisor assumes the responsibility for ensuring excellent patient care is being delivered, maintaining expeditious patient flow with a focus on customer service, and supervision of nursing staff. The Clinical Shift Supervisor will provide input on staff evaluations and complete evaluations for their regular staff cohort. The Clinical Shift Supervisor will also assist with cost containment, and manage all employees to do the same. The position requires knowledge of leadership and effective interpersonal communication skills. The Blood Cancer Healing Center is designed to be an unparalleled hub of expertise and support that will redefine care for blood cancer patients and their families. The center includes dedicated spaces for whole-person patient care, novel treatments, and basic/translational research-all in one building, all dedicated to the future of cancer care.
- Minimum Bachelor of Science of Nursing is required.
- Minimum of two to four years of clinical nursing experience in area of clinical specialty.
- Demonstrates effective problem solving/decision making abilities. Knowledge of practice requirements for RN, Medics, HUCs and PCA as mandated by the state or organization. Evidence of continuing professional growth such as membership in a professional organization in area of clinical specialization; able to work flexible hours as needed. Ability to work clinically in assigned unit.

Facilitate conflict resolution.
Empower staff to participate in decision making through shared governance/UBC.
Maintain, support and encourage others with professional development.
Demonstrates efficiency through the appropriate use of resources or supplies to support timely and effective delivery of patient care.
Identifies needs for specific equipment and ensures adequate and properly functioning equipment and supplies are available for patient care.
Identify operational needs for units including but not limited to needs related to capital equipment; medical supplies; office supplies; hours of practice; minor equipment; and equipment maintenance.
Participate in the new hire process: Shadowing process, selection and oversee specific staff orientation to maintain established standards of care and to ensure competency.
Specific professional development and coaching for assigned cohort of staff including quarterly rounding and annual performance appraisals.
