Production planner is responsible to coordinate with demand planning, production, suppliers, engineering, quality, and compliance to plan and fulfill production schedules at Integra Lifesciences, Cincinnati, OH location. The production planner will execute in accordance with all local and regulated guidelines while working in accordance with Integra values.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to oversee/perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Generate and publish production schedules in collaboration with purchasing, production, manufacturing and engineering teams.

  • Release manufacturing work orders utilizing the ERP/MRP planning system and follow company policies and procedures.

  • Work closely with the finished goods planning team to review and escalate materials stock situation on a weekly basis

  • Report on progress against production schedules and plans.

  • Guide the Manufacturing and Quality staff to ensure successful completion and on-time delivery of daily/ monthly build, being the primary point of contact and liaison for these departments.

  • Manage planning parameters for the assigned parts ensuring proper lead times, lot sizes, order modifiers and safety stocks.

  • Provide assistance to quality, engineering and other departments to release work orders.

  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures for the department.

  • Interface with purchasing, receiving, quality and engineering to facilitate the expeditious processing of materials that require to complete sub-assemblies and final assemblies.

  • Help achieve attainment and accuracy target for the assigned product lines. Investigate root causes for missing such target and provide a plan to mitigate those.

  • Oversee subcontract processes and flows.

  • Contribute efforts to improve quality of the products made internally as well as of the parts sourced externally.

  • Improve business practices to reduce inventory and improve cycle times, lead times and service levels.

  • Provide feedback/information from suppliers in the non-conforming material process.

  • Partner and collaborate with cross functional teams on and off production floor.

  • Be an effective team member on product development projects.

  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Using Computer Software including MS word, excel and outlook.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree business or technical degree.

  • Minimum of 3 years of Production Planning in a manufacturing/factory environment.

  • NAPM or APICS certification a plus.

  • Experience in purchasing or planning/production control function in a manufacturing facility.

  • Experience with MRP systems and knowledge of operations/manufacturing flow.

  • Comprehensive computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Detail oriented and very well organized.

  • Knowledge of turning, machining parts' manufacturing preferred.
