Position Summary: The Planning Assistant assists the Planning Department with various projects. This includes ordering materials, entering inventory items, keeping track of project schedules, assist with forecasts for manufacturing needs, and other duties defined by the supervisor. Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Planning department and other Supply Chain groups as needed.
  • Create and maintain reports and tracking documents in Excel.
  • Communicate delivery dates and customer requirements to plants and suppliers.
  • Collect, review, and analyze data.
  • Prepare reports, charts, budgets and other presentation materials.
  • Monitor factory schedules to ensure on-time delivery of production orders.
  • Backup for primary Planner.
  • Assist in issuing production orders to Fechheimer plants and subcontractors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Experience working in an office setting.
  • Experience working with planning or customer service departments a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of AX and other inventory control systems preferred
  • Good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work well with plant management, vendors, office, and warehouse staff.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
