Job Overview: This position will provide for the consistency and quality in the processing, assembly, delivery, and usage of surgical instrumentation, and equipment. The Liaison will facilitate the communication between the Surgery Department and the Central Sterile Processing Department to insure the availability and safe processing and handling of specialty surgical instrumentation. Job Requirements: Highschool Diploma or GED No relevant equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree 2-3 years' Experience CRCST Certification Central Sterile Supply Job Responsibilities: Works with Central Sterile Processing Supervisor to assist in the quick turnover of instrumentation needed in the Surgery Department. Ensure the availably, handling, processing of specialty instrumentation and equipment needed in the Surgery Department on a daily basis and delivering instrumentation to OR rooms throughout the day as the need arises. Facilitate the communication between the staff in Surgery and Central Sterile Processing Departments. Assist Registered Nurse or Certified Surgical Technician in the OR rooms when priority turnover is needed, or issues are identified with instrumentation and/or equipment. Assists with managing the needs list for the current and next day's cases. Knowledgeable of Central Sterile Supply processes and practices.
