Graphic Village LLC Maintenance and Safety Manager in Cincinnati, Ohio

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE The Maintenance and Safety Manager is responsible for promoting safe work practices and conditions and managing the operation and maintenance service and repairs of Graphic Village facilities and equipment. The position plans, budgets and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor materials and other related costs along with scheduling all maintenance and safety activities for the facility. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Guide team to promptly follow up on equipment abnormalities reported by production and resolve them as quickly as possible.
  • Develop and organize the implementation of equipment Preventive Maintenance (PM) plans for the production base, ensuring that the production equipment, facilities, and office equipment is in optimal condition.
  • Assist senior leadership in achieving departmental targets. Responsible for reducing the downtime of critical equipment, analyzing and reducing equipment failure rate and ensuring good operational condition of equipment.
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Oversee the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services, and facility expansion.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Maintenance Cost Management: Responsible for managing the purchase requisition, acceptance, evaluation, and setting of safety stock for spare parts, as well as other daily tasks related to spare parts management. Through effective spare parts management, aim to continuously reduce maintenance costs.
  • Maintain parking lots and sidewalks.
  • Manage and negotiate vendor Conduct safety inspections and implement necessary corrective actions. Ensure the safety management of maintenance and operations personnel.
  • Plan budgets and schedule facility modifications, including cost estimates.
  • Conduct accident investigations and ensure all required documentation is submitted timely to Human Resources
  • Maintain required manual and electronic records for internal and external compliance reporting
  • Manage the development and maintenance of safety policies and procedures.
  • Educate staff on safety programs, policies and procedures and provide training on safe work practices.
  • Promote safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA, Fire Marshall, all Federal, State, and Local regulations, and any contractual requirements.
  • Conduct effective worker orientation program for every new employee and administer and record their participation.
  • Conduct safety meetings and issue minutes of meetings as directed by the Plant Manager.
  • Conduct safety audits and recommend corrective action per the Company policies.
  • Lead fire prevention and emergency response activities/plans
  • Identify and inform management of compliance issues, safety risks and make recommendations on improvement opportunities.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor or associate degree with technical training in plant engineering or factory/plant maintenance or equivalent professional experience.

Facilities management experience in the printing industry.
