The experienced Import & Export Specialist will be a self-starter to immediately fulfill the responsibilities of the position. The right candidate will support the International Division and service level execution to ensure Customer Focus and Continuous Improvement are exceeded within the division. POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education, Credentials, Licenses: Bachelor's degree in a related field or a combination of education and experience. PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS Obtain QUOTES using various platforms and methods such as phone call/ email/ website search/ brokers to build on existing relationships and establish new ones for INLAND/ AIR/ OCEAN Export and Import in a timely fashion. Manage the booking and tracking of all outbound and inbound shipments, ensuring all orders are delivered safely and timely door to door- INLAND/ AIR/ OCEAN - EXPORT/ IMPORT Coordinate and process all shipping paperwork (BOL/PO/DO/SI/MBOL/HBOL/AES etc) for both domestic and international shipment - INLAND/AIR/OCEAN - IMPORT and EXPORT Ensure all deadlines are met Inform internal staff of equipment/material delivery status update internal tracking systems. Using independent judgement and discretion, investigates problems and requirements of clients/partners and develop /implement appropriate solutions Follow internal processes and update relevant spreadsheets promptly and with attention to detail Quickly learn and apply new concepts, skills and knowledge to assigned tasks Review Freight invoices, Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Proven ability to prioritize activities in a fast-paced environment Ability to work well as part of a team yet think independently Advising customer of shipping details and document courier packages.
